To Abide by (To accept and obey according to law etc.)-पालन करना
- The Boss told me that I would have to abide by the rules and regulations of the company.
- ‘I will abide by my promise at any cost.’ said the lover to his beloved.
Unduly (Adv)-Undeservedly (बिना तुक का)
- Don’t see red unduly (बेकार का क्रोध मत करो)
- The Opposition Party unduly criticized the Ruling Party for which it apologized later.
Lucrative (Adj) – Profitable (फायदेमंद)
- Everybody seeks out for a lucrative job, which is just a mirage.
- Companies attract youths towards their lucrative prospects.
Defunct (Adj) Not in function or in existence (नहीं चलने वाला, खराब, विलुप्त)
- This clock cannot tell you the time as it is defunct.
- Dinosaurs are not defunct.
Futile (Adj) Purposeless; useless (बेकार)
- The ant made a futile effort to come out of the slippery bottle.
- Vivekananda’s futile wandering ended and finally sat still on a rock now known as Vivekananda Rock.
