हिमालय हमारा है. यह भारतीय राष्ट्र का गौरव है. यह हमारे देश का अभिन्न अंग है. भूटान से लेकर कश्मीर तक सम्पूर्ण उत्तरी सीमा पर हिमालय फैला हुआ है. उत्तर बिहार के कुछ गावों से हिमालय की चोटियाँ साफ़-साफ़ दिखाई देती है. भारत की अनेक नदियाँ हिमालय से निकलती है. भारत के एक बहुत बड़े भाग को इन नदियों ने हरा-भरा बना रखा है. हिमालय ने हमारे देश को बहुत कुछ दिया है. भारत हिमालय के बिना जी नहीं सकता. इसलिए हिमालय की रक्षा हमें हर कीमत पर करनी होगी. हिमालय से बहुत सी नदियाँ भी निकलती है. हिमालय भारत की उत्तरी सीमा है तथा यह रक्षक के समान है.

The Himalaya is ours. It is the pride of the Indian nation. It is an inseparable part of our country. The Himalaya has expansion from Bhutan to Kashmir on the whole northern border. The Himalayan peaks are visible from some villages of Northern Bihar. Many rivers of India originate from the Himalaya. These rivers keep a great portion of India green. The Himalaya has gifted a lot of things to our country. India cannot survive without the Himalaya. So, we will have to protect the Himalaya at any cost. Many rivers originate from the Himalaya. The Himalaya is the northern boundary of India and it is like a defender.
